Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows’ bond was set at $100,000 on Thursday, for his alleged involvement in the overturning of the 2020 Presidential election results in Georgia.

Meadows is being charged with racketeering and soliciting a violation of an oath by a public officer.

This comes after a federal court judge rejected Meadows and co-defendant Jeffrey Clark’s request on Tuesday, to delay their surrender until a ruling was made on whether their cases would be moved to a federal court.

Meadows’ argument in his lawsuit was that he should be exempt from the charges because the allegations in the lawsuit covered allegations that were part of his responsibilities as a federal official.

The deadline for all defendants involved in the case is set for noon on Friday.

Additionally, Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis has stated she will issue an arrest warrant if Meadows or others involved do not surrender before the deadline.

However, Donald Trump’s bond has been set at $200,000 and he is expected to turn himself in on Thursday.

The 45th president has been charged on 13 counts, including racketeering, filing false documents and criminal conspiracy.
