During a fiery monologue, Tucker Carlson blasted the Vice President, at one point asking “How did Kamala Harris wind up effectively in charge of the entire country?”
Carlson set the stage by saying “two years ago, during the Democratic presidential primaries, Kamala Harris appeared on CNN to explain where she stood in the race. At that moment, Harris had just been memorably humiliated by Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii during a televised debate, and she was trying to explain what had happened. “I’m obviously a top-tier candidate,” Harris said. “And so I did expect that I would be on the stage and take hits tonight.”
“Now, if you were following the race at that moment, you chuckled,” he continued.
“Kamala Harris was not a top-tier candidate, not then, not ever. Not since the day she actually announced. On paper, she’d seemed like a serious contender. She was a U.S. senator from the country’s biggest state, a former prosecutor, who enjoyed nearly universal support among Washington Post reporters and MSNBC anchors. It seemed for a while like it could work. The problem was, actual voters found her repellent. We don’t need to guess about this, we have the numbers,” he added.
Tucker went on to say “The more Kamala Harris they got, the more repelled they became. By December, Harris was losing to Andrew Yang in her own state. The majority of California Democrats said they wanted her to drop out of the race. Harris was even getting crushed in Iowa, a tiny state where she’d spent virtually all of her money. So, even in a business famous for rewarding falseness, Kamala Harris was just too phony to win. She was too fake for politics.”
“So how did Kamala Harris wind up effectively in charge of the entire country?” Carlson asked. “That’s a question that historians of democracy will ponder for decades — democracy being, you’ll remember from school, a system in which citizens get to choose their own leaders. Yet apart from a few handlers around Joe Biden, no one really chose Kamala Harris. It’s a pretty amazing story, actually. It’s frustrating, as well as deeply amusing. So, take a moment once in a while, just a pause, a respite, to enjoy the pure absurdity of Kamala D. Harris. You’ll find it refreshing.”
Kyle Rittenhouse: The media tried to make me look guilty, ‘put me in prison the rest of my life’
Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager who was acquitted in November of homicide charges following a self-defense shooting, slammed the media Wednesday for lying about him and trying to put him in prison.
Rittenhouse fatally shot two men in self-defense during an August 2020 riot in Kenosha, Wisc. The media claimed he was a white supremacist and a murderer, despite the lack of evidence.
“I’m angry that the media thinks they can get away with lying,” Rittenhouse told Just TheNews cohosts John Solomon and Amanda Head.
“[L]ike Malcolm X said: ‘The media is the most powerful entity on the planet. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and the guilty, innocent.’ And they tried to do that to me. They lied, and they almost put me in prison the rest of my life. Thank God the jury didn’t buy into the false narratives.”
Rittenhouse has launched The Media Accountability Project, which is a fundraising effort to help him cover legal costs in his lawsuits against media companies who defamed him.
“The Media Accountability Project consists of two parts,” he said. “And Part A is to hold the media accountable and make them pay for what they did.”
“And then Part B, which isn’t quite here yet, is to keep them accountable and help independent journalism spread, such as providing grants or new equipment, but also creating like a hub on your phone to where independent journalists can post what they’re filming and compared to what mainstream media is saying so people can see the truth of what’s happening.”
Rittenhouse said that he’s “still working on the lawsuits, getting them done right.”
“And what we hope to accomplish from this is that this never happens to anybody else again,” he continued. “I don’t want to see anybody else smeared like how they smeared Nick Sandmann. They didn’t learn when they had to pay Nick, but I want them to learn that they can’t defame people.”
Sandmann was another high schooler who was slandered by the media following his interaction with Native American activist Nathan Phillips during the 2019 March for Life. He reached legal settlements with CNN, NBC, and the Washington Post for their media coverage regarding the incident.
WATCH: NYT Reporter Caught on Camera Bashing Colleagues, Says Indoctrinated “Woke” Reporters Are Ruining The Paper… “They’re Not The Clearest of Thinkers” [VIDEO]
A Pulitzer-Prize winning reporter for the New York Times, Matthew Rosenberg, has been caught on video bashing his colleagues and ridiculing the “left’s overreaction” to Jan 6. In a second video, Rosenberg also revealed the “internal tug of war” at the NYT between “the reasonable people” and the “crazier leftist sh** that’s worked its way in.”
In footage released from Project Veritas, national security reporter Rosenberg clearly doesn’t know he is being recorded by an undercover journalist, who gets him to speak his mind about the NYT publication and the people behind it.
When talking about the events of Jan 6, Rosenberg said “You could tell how much fun we had.”
“Are you allowed to have that much fun on January 6th?” asked the undercover reporter. “Aren’t you supposed to be in mourning?”
“I know, I know. I’m supposed to be traumatized,” laughed Rosenberg. He then proceeded to mock his younger colleagues who claim they were scared at the Capitol building on Jan 6. Rosenberg also admits that they were knowingly not in any danger at the Capitol, despite how “scary” the journalists may try and portray it.
“But like all these colleagues who were in the [Capitol] building, and they’re young and are like, ‘Oh my God it was so scary,’ I’m like ‘F*** off’… I kind of want to be like ‘Dude, come on, like, you were not in any danger.”
Rosenberg then makes fun of his colleagues who were inside the Capitol, referring to them as “f***ing little dweebs who keep going on about their trauma.”
He then calls out fellow NYT reporters Emily Cochrane and Nicholas Fandos for being “f***ing b****es.”
In the second video from the undercover journalist’s conversation with Rosenberg, he dives into the inner workings of the NYT, and the dishonest reporting that has become commonplace within the publication.
Rosenberg is captured in tape admitting to the fabrication of “ridiculous stories” with government officials for the NYT. Rosenberg specifically names the “Trump pee tape” which was introduced by the media, then when no evidence of the incident ever appeared, the story was spun to insist that Russia was holding onto the tape to influence Trump politically and that’s why no one has ever seen evidence of the accusations.
When talking about this mysterious tape, Rosenberg revealed that it “of course doesn’t exist.” The NYT reporter entirely admitted to fabricating a story and presenting it as factual when he knew it was falsified.
After admitting his fabrication of stories, Rosenberg proceeded to again insult his colleagues, saying “they’re not the clearest thinkers.” He then namedrops fellow journalist Adam Goldman, calling him a “terrible writer” and saying he’s “not good with words.”
The undercover journalist then asks about the ongoing lawsuit between the NYT and Project Veritas, to which Rosenberg admits “That was a f***-up. We may well lose that one.”
Perhaps the best part of this whole story, though, is the follow-up by James O’Keefe who approached Rosenberg at a restaurant before he released the secret footage. He informed Rosenberg of the story then asked for his comment.
“What do you want from me?” asked Rosenberg. “This is worse than a hit-job.”
Then, without knowing what exactly O’Keefe had him saying on tape, Rosenberg said he will “absolutely” stand by his comments.
“You got me at a bar in a social situation,” Rosenberg said as if this meant what O’Keefe’s team captured wasn’t fair to use against him. However, in the footage from the undercover video, Rosenberg himself admitted to using overheard conversation in his stories, saying “if you’re talking in public, it’s fair game.”
CNN, ABC, CBS, BBC, Bloomberg Cease Russian Broadcasting Arms
The West’s severance from Russia became more apparent this week when CNN International, ABC, CBS, and other major news outlets announced they will stop broadcasting in the Eastern European country following its invasion of Ukraine.
The move out of Russia comes in response to the Kremlin introducing a new law that would jail anyone spreading fake news or misinformation about the invasion of Ukraine. Russian officials claim that the United States and Western Europe have been intentionally spreading fake news to spark an uprising against the Kremlin.
“Lawmakers in Moscow passed amendments to the criminal code making the spread of ‘fake’ information an offense punishable with fines or jail terms,” They also imposed fines for anyone calling for sanctions against Russia following the invasion of Ukraine,” according to the Daily Mail.
“The new legislation was passed by parliament and will become law when Vladimir Putin signs it, as he is widely expected to do. It was not clear when Putin would sign the measure,” added the outlet.
People in violation of the law could face up to 15 years in prison. CNN, ABC, CBS, Bloomberg, BBC, and CBC all announced they would be discontinuing their broadcasts.
“CNN will stop broadcasting in Russia while we continue to evaluate the situation and our next steps moving forward,” a network spokesperson said Friday.
“The change to the criminal code, which seems designed to turn any independent reporter into a criminal purely by association, makes it impossible to continue any semblance of normal journalism inside the country,” Bloomberg Editor-in-Chief John Micklethwait said in a statement.
CBS, ABC, CBC, and the BBC all made similar announcements. Interim BBC News Director Jonathan Munro confirmed that while broadcasts within the country will be suspended, the network will not be “pulling out journalists from Moscow.”
“We cannot use their reporting for the time being but they remain valued members of our teams and we hope to get them back on our output as soon as possible,” tweeted Munro.
Both the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post announced they would not be suspending operations in the country.
“Our top priorities are the safety of our employees and covering this important story fairly and fully. Being in Moscow, freely able to talk to officials and capture the mood, is key to that mission,” said a spokesperson for the WSJ.
“We are assessing the details of the Russian law and its potential impact on our reporting. We intend to exercise caution while seeking clarity about how these reported restrictions would affect Washington Post correspondents and local staff,” said the Post.
