It’s confirmed: Chase Stokes and Kelsea Ballerini are officially dating!
The Outer Banks star addressed the rumors of his relationship with the country singer during a Friday (March 3) appearance on the Today Show.
Ballerini will be performing on Saturday Night Live as this weekend’s musical guest, so Today Show anchor Sheinelle Jones seized the opportunity to finally get some dirt on her rather private relationship with Stokes.
“Right across the street on SNL, we have a pretty good show planned for tomorrow night,” Jones said referring to Studio 8H — where SNL is filmed — and Today‘s nearby headquarters.
“Kelsea Ballerini, she’ll be taking the stage. Going out on a limb here — are you a fan?” Jones asked, to which Stokes confirmed with a smile, “Absolutely, I’m a fan. Who isn’t a fan?”
Jones continued, “For those of you who don’t know, they’re dating,” while Stokes nodded and added a rather tight-lipped, “Mhmm.”
The secrecy comes as no surprise. The two stars have been teasing their relationship on social media for months now, driving devoted Outer Banks fans wild with speculation.
Ballerini recently went through a very public break-up with ex-husband Morgan Evans after filing for divorce from the singer in August 2022. But a source recently told Entertainment Tonight, “She feels very happy and free with Chase.”
“Kelsea is focusing on the good things in her life and her relationship with Chase,” the source continued. “They’re having a great time together. Chase has been super supportive of her, and they are there for each other both professionally and in their personal lives.”
Maybe we’ll catch Stokes supporting her from the sidelines during her SNL performance this weekend.
