Rashida Tlaib did her normal anti-Semitic thing today, accusing Israel of war crimes against Palestinians and thus refusing to funding for their Iron Dome system:
In response to this, a Democrat from Florida responded to Tlaib (not by name because that’s not allowed) and called her out for her anti-Semitism right on the House floor:
Democrat Ted Deutch said:
“WE CAN HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO DEBATE LOTS OF ISSUES ON THE HOUSE FLOOR, BUT TO FALSELY CHARACTERIZE THE STATE OF ISRAEL CONSISTENT WITH THOSE – LET’S BE CLEAR – IT’S CONSISTENT WITH THOSE WHO ADVOCATE FOR THE DISMANTLING OF THE ONE JEWISH STATE IN THE WORLD, AND WHEN THERE IS NO PLACE ON THE MAP FOR ONE JEWISH STATE, THAT’S ANTI-SEMITISM.”
It’s absolutely anti-Semitism. Accusing Israel of war crimes when they’ve committed none, just because you hate the Jewish state and want to see it destroyed, is nothing more than hateful, despicable anti-Semitism. And I’m glad Deutch spoke up.
In related news, AOC was apparently crying after changing her vote from ‘no’ to ‘present’ on the Iron Dome funding issue:
