Pizza rat. Bodega cats. Too-friendly Central Park pigeons and squirrels.
These are the creatures of New York City, living amongst the melting pot of people in the city that never sleeps.
Also synonymous with NYC is the New York Post — being the oldest newspaper in the country and the most New York-y, if we do say so ourselves. If the rats could read, we know they would have a copy sent to their hidey-holes daily, which was the inspiration for this new, limited edition collection.
Dubbed the Concrete Jungle Collection, the items include some new critter characters you need to meet. The iconic pizza rat is a fan favorite, holding a perfect slice of 99 cent ‘za and a gold chain.
You can’t come to New York without seeing pigeons, both on the ground and in the air, looking for a fresh pretzel from the street food carts.
Then, head over to a local bodega to see the bodega cat, perched on a pile of NYP papers, of course. Give it a pat and then end your day wandering through Central Park, where confident squirrels steal your apple, taking a big bite for good measure.
The creatures can be found on sweatshirts for adults and kids, as well as on hats, tee-shirts, mugs and tote bags in a variety of colors and sizes. They make for incredible gifts for the New Yorker who has everything, the animal lover in your life and for you, New York Post reader, to show your undying love for the Big Apple and all the animals in the Concrete Jungle we call home.
Shop the collection now and read below for a few of our faves before they scamper (or fly) away.
Take a bite out of the Big Apple in our new dad hat. The cap comes in both black and beige, with an embroidered red apple and the New York Post logo on the side.

Somebody call Pizza Rat and tell him he has some competition. This cool rat has a slice and a chain and is ready to rule the streets of NYC, on a tee, tote and more.

Don’t let this design fly off the shelves before you get one. The iconic NYC pigeon gets his moment on the front page, and the front of this hoodie, carrying a salted pretzel from a nearby street food cart.

If pizza isn’t your thing, how about these apples? Our very own apple-stealing squirrel is straight out of Central Park, taking his NYP apple on the road with him.

Let the kids in on the fun with out youth sizes! This bodega cat hoodie also comes in adult sizing, too, with an orange tabby perched on top of a stack of New York Post papers.

Collect all the creatures of New York in one place — out on the fire escape! This design features each of the four animals living in harmony on a canvas tote, as well as on other items in the shop.
