Jennifer Aydin and Margaret Josephs‘ years-long feud finally reached a breaking point during Wednesday night’s (March 7) episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, when what started as a fun, fried chicken-filled brunch turned into a screaming match between the two reality stars.
From Aydin slut-shaming Josephs for feeling pressured to sleep with her boss early in her career to Josephs making the revelation that Aydin’s husband had an affair in previous seasons of the show, the duo undoubtedly have a sour history filled with ruthless fighting.
While the women seemingly reconciled their differences at the start of the current season, they ended up in a heated argument after Josephs confronted Aydin for talking about her behind her back to her friend (and RHONJ newbie) Jennifer Fessler.
As a result, the frenemies hurled profanities at each other, with Aydin slamming Josephs as the “old lady in the corner” and saying, “I have a family which is something you will never fucking know what it’s like.” Meanwhile, Josephs fired back at Aydin, calling her a “stupid fucking asshole” and a “disheveled little drug addict.”
With Aydin clarifying later in the episode that “marijuana is not drugs,” many fans took to Twitter to blast Josephs for the harmful accusation.
“I didn’t like Marge throwing out the drug addict comment. One it’s weed and not true and two Jenn has kids and that’s a low blow,” one wrote. “Does Marge not know that using that term is disgusting? People are struggling out here & she was so degrading when she said it!”
Another added, “Marge likes to throw horrible accusations. Again with the drugs allegations. Those are dangerous accusations.”
“Margaret is a hag who harasses Jennifer until she snaps,” someone else fumed. “Tonight Marge was the one shouting and sounding hateful with her accusations.”
Another commented, “Yeah this was REALLY bad. I gasped when she said that.”
“Imagine the outrage from the others if Jenn said that to Marge,” someone pointed out. “She’s gross.”
Another viewer concluded, “Calling @JenniferAydin a doctor’s wife who is prominent in his community, a drug addict is slander. I know @MargaretJosephs is used to lawsuit but she needs to think before she speaks.”
