Emma Roberts celebrates boyfriend Cody John’s birthday

Emma Roberts gave a rare look at her relationship with her boyfriend, Cody John, while celebrating his birthday Wednesday.

The “Scream Queens” alum, 32, shared two photos on Instagram in which she cuddled with the actor, writing, “happy birthday sheesh,” along with a melting-face emoji and a red heart emoji.

Her caption mirrored the birthday message John wrote for Roberts in February on his own account.

In her first photo, the actress cozied up to John as they enjoyed a romantic ride on a helicopter. The pair, both dressed casually, had serious expressions as they snapped the airborne selfie.

The second snap showed the couple looking loved-up as Roberts wrapped her arms around John’s neck with a smile on her face. He leaned in close, pressing his cheek against his girlfriend.

Friends and fans of the “Unfabulous” alum flooded the comments section to help celebrate her man’s big day.

“Happy birthday codels 🥰🤗😍,” Ashley Benson wrote.

“this man is so lucky im gonna cry my heart is broken,” a fan commented.

“Awww so cute, happy birthday John Cody 🎂,” a second follower wrote, with another adding, “love this for you sis.”

The news of Roberts’ relationship with John first broke in August 2022 when he shared a photo of the duo kissing on his Instagram.

Less than two months later, E! News reported that the “American Horror Story” star and her beau were “taking it slow” after mutual friends in the industry introduced them.

“Emma loves Cody’s personality,” a source told the outlet at the time. “He’s really funny, and they have been having a good time together.”

Roberts, who shares 2-year-old son Rhodes with ex-boyfriend Garrett Hedlund, reportedly did not want to rush into another relationship for her child’s sake.

“Emma is cautious about bringing her son around new people but knows the day will come soon,” the insider added.

Roberts started dating John after ending her three-year relationship with Hedlund, 38, in late 2021.

“It’s sad, and they are trying their best to co-parent. It’s been hard,” an insider told People in January 2022.

Roberts and the “Tron: Legacy” actor started dating in March 2019 and announced in August 2020 that they were expecting their first child.

She gave birth to Rhodes in December 2020 and shared a first look at the newborn days later.

“Thank you 2020 for getting one thing right ☀️ Our bright light Rhodes Robert Hedlund 🧡,” the “Aquamarine” star wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of her cradling her baby.

Following their breakup, Roberts and Hedlund have continued to amicably co-parent their child.

“I’ve got a best friend for life with this little man,” the “Friday Night Lights” alum told Page Six exclusively of his toddler in November 2022. “He never ceases to amaze me. We just have the greatest time.”

Roberts celebrated her son’s 2nd birthday in December with an adorable photo on Instagram, though she did not reveal his face on purpose. This was made clear in February when she called out her mom for posting Rhodes on social media without her permission.

Prior to Hedlund, Roberts was engaged to Evan Peters, whom she dated on and off for seven years before calling it quits for good in March 2019.
